I’ve been doing this 7 years…and finally have figured it out, and it’s SO simple.

I have been at my company for 7 years and I finally feel I have figured it out. Or at least now.

I have been studying a company that is in momentum.

Last week I simply couldn’t sleep.

I was inspired. (I have been thinking of a ’30 day challenge’ since December, but it finally came to me after reading the latest magazine from Networking Times).

I grabbed a pen and a piece of paper and just started coming up with a simple a concept.

We now have 500 people taking this challenge in less than a week. You can find more information here.

I never sent out an email, just all word of mouth on Facebook.

This Sunday we are going to be talking about it with some leaders around the country and hope you join us.

Here are the details.

Title: Gratitude Challenge Informational Call
Time: Sunday, May 20th at 5:00pm PST/AZ 6pm MTN, 7pm CST, 8pm EST
Listening method: Phone + Web Simulcast
To attend, visit: http://InstantTeleseminar.com/?eventID=29539974
Phone Number: (206) 701-8388
Pin Code: 272094#

The whole premise of the challenge is to Take it, & Teach it.

You don’t have to ‘sell’ people to be grateful or count their blessings. You simply do it. Ask them to take the 30 day challenge.

If they want to teach it too, they can, and earn money for doing so. It’s really quite simple.

Learn more this Sunday night.

Have a good night,

Jeff

What? Your upline isn’t working?

So What

Go up!

Find someone who is working the business who you want to be mentored by and they can help!

I just chatted with Vern on Facebook and he reached out to me since his upline wasn’t working.

As leaders we welcome those calls.

It doesn’t matter where they are in your organization. As leaders we help people to achieve their dreams.

Also, how to use Facebook. As soon as I meet someone I friend them on Facebook. If they are not on Facebook or I cannot find them then this doesn’t apply.

I also send them a card, but my trick is that I download one of their pictures from their profile and insert it into a card using the ultimate networking tool.

It works. See how many people you can connect with & build better relationships the smart way.

Lunch with a rep today

So today I had lunch with Suzie.

We started off with some chatter and small talk and then I went over some bullet points I wanted to cover.

  1. Opportunity Meetings
  2. Hearing her presentation

Now I stopped doing opportunity presentations because the presentation I was doing was not my own.

However the last weekend, I put a power point together which was my story and it went over so much better because it was my story.

I then listened to Suzie’s presentation. One of the best things my dad asked me to do was to write out our presentations.

I’ve personally done over 2,000 presentations and have sponsored more than a few people. It works when you write it and master your presentation.

I also asked her why she joined our company. I told her people will buy you do something more than anything else. If you have a compelling story, you will attract more people.

And the cool part is you will attract people who are a lot like you. So it’s important to master your story.

If you were to tell me your story, would I want to learn more? If not work on your story, then your presentation.

Be a professional and you will win more.

You can’t have it…unless

A lot of people want it before they do it?

Would you not agree with that statement?

However how do you Do it, if you are not ‘it’ first? Meaning, you must first Become what you want to be first?

Do you want to be a better sales person? They study sales. It’s really that easy

Do you want to be a better networker? Study networking. There are several classes out there and books to read.

Okay, I hear the excuses, But, Jeff it takes so much time? Well then you will not Have what you desire.

You must invest in yourself first. Rule #1.

Since college, (I’m now 35) I have been studying, growing, becoming, thus doing, and finally having some of things I want to have.

I made it a goal to have 1000 books in my personal library. Did you know 85% of people haven’t read a book since high school? Ever wonder why 97% of the world work for the rich man?

It’s easy to get in the 3% but it starts with becoming the type of person you want to become first.

I studied sales first. Why because I read a book by Robert Kiyosaki and he said skill #1 is to learn the art of selling. Thus I went to work for Tom Hopkins (the worlds leading expert on sales) Worked for him for 7 years.

Be a student first, then Do what they say (apply) then you will start having what you want

Paper or Electronic?

I have gone back and forth on this one for a long time.

However what I found out, Paper is King.

There is something when you write down your new contacts you meet. I have a 3 ring binder on my desk with contact sheets. Each day I make it a goal to meet x number of people.

I also have been writing down my top 3 goals I would like to accomplish each day on a little sticky notes.

They are in line with my large 3 goals I am working to accomplish.

Now I do use the Google Calendar and APP that sinks so my calendar is electronic, but even then, I have a gigantic dry erase 90 day calendar on my wall.

I also have a map of the united states with colored tacs with promotions.

I’m dialed in, are you?

Great book for Relationship Marketing

I had a rep the other day who does her own team call ( I am attracting leaders).

She goes over a book that is resonated with her and shares it with her team. This week she shared it with her upline, me. And I am thankful that she did.

The book is called “The Referral of a Lifetime” by Tim Templeton. In fact it is one of my dad’s (who is my mentor and our top team builder) favorite books.

It teaches to manage your database in a constructive format such as A, B, C. It also teaches you that your current list is your best source of future business and that it is not necessary to keep on prospecting. Simply learn how to cultivate the relationships you do have…if you have a system.

Here is a quick video I shot that may help you learn about their follow up system.

Tell a story with a Point

We were driving back from Denver to Tucson listening to the Jim Rohn leadership session.

There was a teenage session that Charlie ‘Tremendous’ Jones was a part of and he told the kids never to tell a story without a point.

Make sure you are teaching through your story telling.

A simple way to track your business to see if you are moving forward…
